I don't go on holiday much (if at all!), but this year I was persuaded to take a short trip down south, to go to Chessington World of adventure, Legoland, and Thorpe park.
We took a lot of pictures at legoland (around 250!), and a few more at Thorpe Park.
So here are some pictures from Legoland to start with!
The Creation Centre
One of the first buildings at Legoland contained a number of lifesize (and nearly lifesize) models, along with a wall of fame, and a chance to see the model makers at work.
This aeroplane cockpit is 80% of the original size, the detailing on it was amazing.
The park was well laid out, and featured some excellent scenery.
Build and Test
This area of the park allowed the kids to build their own creations and test them against each other, we never actually went in here, but it did have an impressive lego technic dinosaur thing 'breaking out' of the building...
My Town
This area featured an fairly impressive 'stuntshow' along with the 'LEGO Orient Expedition', which was a short train journey around the park with numerous lifesize animals on display.
Castleland
Castleland featured Legolands new Dragon coaster, which was a fairly fun ride and the most 'extreme' ride at the park. The ride starts with a number of Lego castle scenes, before dropping out of the castle and running around the Castleland area. Not an amazing coaster but a lot of fun nevertheless.
Parts II and III coming soon!

This is most definately a rare event. I wonder who persuaded him to do that!???
Legoland looks excellent, hope you had a laugh and didn't destroy any lego creations on purpose!? You know you wanted to!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CRYSTAL! See you both soon!
